Ayurveda comes from a sanskrit word with two roots:
Ayuh means “life”.
Veda means “knowledge” or “science”.
Thus, Āyurveda आयुर्वेद translates to “the science of life”.

Ayurveda is an ancient system of holistic medicine, which at its essence, is the science of restoring health, balance and longevity for each unique human being. The principles of Ayurveda guides us how on to live in harmony with nature and it’s rhythms and cycles, restoring health and reminding the body of its own intelligence to heal.

This retreat is a yoga and Ayurvedic immersion that will educate you on how to take action in creating health and balance for your BODY and MIND.

During the retreat you will immerse in;

  • Knowledge and practical talks with Dylan and Brooke these talks will include

    • Understanding the principles of Ayurveda and integrating them into your life.

    • Introduction on the integration on the four pillars of health according to Ayurveda

    • Deep understanding on the Doshas and how to identify and create harmony.

    • The tradition of dinacharya one of the single most powerful Ayurvedic tools for improving overall health and wellbeing.

    • Ayurvedic cooking class

    • Learn the potent techniques of Self Abhyanga, expansive and profound experience providing healing and bliss.

  • Hatha and Yin yoga with Brooke

  • ALL Ayurvedic meals aligned to season cooked and provided for you

  • Herbal teas and coffee provided

This retreat is a 25hr Yoga Alliance Certified Continued Education Program. You will receive a certifie of completion.

 


Accommodation and cost

Curraweena House is a gorgeous rural property located in Kurrajong in the Blue Mountains, NSW.

The accommodation is optional for a shared room with two single beds or a private room with a double bed. All shared rooms with be assigned for each guest. The property includes beautiful well established garden and grounds, common areas, an indoor fire place and an outdoor fire pit.

This retreat is ALL INCLUSIVE including all meals and retreat activities.

Dylan Smith certified Ayurvedic practitioner, holistic health educator, proponent of Vedic wisdom, and eternal student for life. Dylan Smith, has a holistic passion to teach patients to effortlessly integrate new habits into their daily life. Dylan directs and treats from the Vital Veda clinic, consults online, teaches and lectures on Ayurveda and holistic health across the globe.

Regularly travelling to South India to train with an internationally renowned family of Ayurvedic doctors, Dylan is devoted to learning, sharing and radiating this ancient knowledge for everyone to utilise and enjoy, to experience total wellness and bliss.



 

Brooke Devi is a devoted yoga student, storyteller and seeker of all philosophies that inspire more depth to love and life. Brooke has completed over 1000 hours of yoga teacher trainings including Hatha, Ashtanga vinyasa, Traditional Mysore, Ayurveda, Tantra and yogic philosophy studies. Brooke is a qualified Ayurvedic Abhyanga practitioner and offers Ayurvedic lifestyle workshops across NSW. Her passion is to bring yoga to life off the mat through mythology and story and creating yoga journeys that ripple beyond body and shape.

 
  • Cancellations 60 or more days prior to the start of the event will receive a full refund minus deposit. Cancellations 0-60 days prior to start of an event will receive no refund.

  • You do not need any experience with yoga or Ayurveda to join this retreat. We welcome any one who is new, curious and open minded in learning how they can approach wellness and health from and an Ayurvedic perspective.

  • We recommend you bring plenty of warm clothes to rug up in. Your yoga mat, a journal and pen, a water bottle, clothes for exercise and relaxing and walking shoes if you feel like going for an explore.

  • All our meals will be prepared according to the Ayurvedic season. With nourishing warm vegetarian winter dishes, snacks and endless ups of herbal tea.
