Join our experienced trainers, Brooke Devi, lead trainer and Bess Stewart, anatomy teacher for this deep dive yin immersion. This comprehensive training is Yoga Alliance certified, perfect for beginners and seasoned practitioners.

Program Curriculum

Asana

Learn the yin yoga poses and how to confidently practice and teach them.

Yin philosophy

Study the history of yin, the element theory, the energetics of yin and how the Taoist principles applies to yin.

Anatomy & Physiology

Learn about the role of connective tissue, joints, the nervous system and safty in yin.

Teaching skills

Embody teaching skills, learn powerful yin sequencing tools, how to hold space and the art of story telling,

Our Shala

We are located at The Yoga Place Blacksmiths, a dreamy studio 30 mins from Newcastle and 30 mins from the Central Coast, NSW.

Free all day parking on site and an incredible vegan cafe located next door with delicious wholefood and coffee!

In the space you will have access to yoga props, however we do ask you bring your own mat as you'll be spending a lot of time on it!

Meet the team

Brooke Devi


A 500hr E-RYT with educational studies in Hatha, Ashtanga vinyasa, Traditional Mysore, Ayurveda, Tantra, Yin and yogic philosophy. Her classes focus on mindful movement and breath, fostering a deep connection between body and mind.

Brookes passion is to weave in philosophy and story to bing the practitioner into moment of reflection and contemplation. Brookes gentle yet firm approach helps students of all levels find their inner strength and peace.

Bess Stewart

Bess (they/them) has practiced some form of yoga since they were 15years old. They came to yoga as a movement practice through their Dad as a supplement to the hours spent sitting and studying and playing in orchestras. Their home in yogic tradition is Ashtanga, having practiced in this tradition most consistently for the last decade. 

Bess has completed at least 500 hours of yoga teacher training, alongside their clinical work as an Integrative Physiotherapist where the yogic traditions of mind/boy union form the foundation of their approach to movement as medicine. 

 FAQs

  • This training is for anyone who wishes to learn more about the practice of yin.Teachers will gain 50 hours teaching accreditation for yin yoga and those who are not teachers can join for personal enjoyment and experience!

    For those who have not completed a 200hr yoga teacher training you will need to complete 5hrs of yin yoga classes in the two months prior to course commencement. This can be online or in any studio with a teacher.

  • Our training requires 100% attendance in order to graduate as a 50 hour Yoga Alliance Continued Education certification.

  • There is a full refund available 60 days prior to the start date. You will a receive 50% refund 30 days prior to the event. Within 30 days of the event there is no refund.
